Fishing is great on Lake Lanier this month with an good top water bite early in the morning and late in the evening. I have seen some of schooling fish and top water action. The fish are moving you may find them in the channel midday or in the mouth of the creeks early morning and late evening.

The techniques I have had the most luck with recently are as follows:

1) Pulling flat lines and planer boards using blue back herring and gizzard shad.

2) Using top water plugs in the early morning and late evening.
