Tripp Guide Service Striper Fishing Report for Lake Lanier June 2008.

Take a kid fishing this summer on Lake Lanier. When the fish are biting like today it’s a great time for children and adults to enjoy the outdoor activities. We caught some bass and several stripers up to 18 lb. June and July are great months to fish on Lake Lanier.

The techniques I have had the most luck with recently are as follows:
  · Pulling flat lines and down lines using blue back herring
  · The live bait bite may be your best during the day using down lines.
  · Trolling an umbrella rig are catching plenty of fish as well

The fish are in the main channels from 20ft to 35ft deep. Fish are also in the deeper creek channels.

When you need bait try Oakwood Bait & Tackle they are located in the back of Oakwood Sportsman’s Lodge in Oakwood GA. They have a large selection Blueback Herring – Trout – Shiners – Worms and Crickets. It’s the best bait on the lake.

If you are looking to catch stripers Tripp Guide Service offers half-day, full day and night fishing trips. If you would like to schedule a trip or ask a question about fishing then please contact Mike Tripp at 770-235-7980 or our website at www.trippguideservice.com.
